Learn how to secure support and commitment from management to successfully implement the Healthy Choices guidelines.

This module will provide you with the tools and strategies to confidently engage with management to supply healthier foods and drinks in your organisation.

It includes practical tips and strategies, useful resources and interviews with CEOs and Healthy Choices implementors.

Key learning areas include:

  • understanding the key decision makers in your organisation
  • know your ask – what is it you are asking management for?
  • writing a business case
  • communicating effectively with management
  • troubleshooting and negotiating barriers
  • maintaining management support

It takes just 30-45 minutes, and you can save your progress as you go.

Understanding the Healthy Choices guidelines for retail food outlets and caterers

There are many things that you and the staff in your food outlet can do to help your customers make healthy food and drink choices when they are eating outside of the home.

By completing this training module you will learn:

  • Why healthy eating is important
  • What the Healthy Choices guidelines are
  • How to make healthy changes to your menu
  • How to promote healthy foods and drinks
  • How the Healthy Eating Advisory Service can help you provide a healthy food service

This module will take 35-45 minutes to complete. You can progress at your own pace and save and exit after each topic.

A certificate of completion will also be available for you to download once the training module and post module feedback has been completed.
